Gerald Smith - Trust Manager
Gerald is Head of the Emerging Markets Equities team. He graduated MA in Philosophy from St. Andrews University and B.Phil. in Philosophy from Brasenose College, Oxford University. Gerald joined Baillie Gifford in 1987 and became a Partner in 1998.
Lindsey Greig - Marketing Manager
Lindsey Greig is the Marketing Manager responsible for developing and monitoring all aspects of customer care and marketing support for personal investors and intermediaries. She joined the firm in 1986 and is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen.
Robert O'Riordan - Investment Trust Development Director
Robert is a graduate in English from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a Fellow of the Securities Institute. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2001 after a career in stockbroking in Scotland with Bell Lawrie White and Stocktrade. He has responsibilities for investment trust communications, helping with the strategic development of the investment trust business and for relationships with Boards, shareholders, the City and the media.
Lindsey Beattie - Head of Investment Trust Accounting
Lindsey graduated MA in History in 1981 from Edinburgh University, followed by a Diploma in Accounting from Heriot Watt University the following year. She qualified as a CA with Ernst & Young in 1985 and, after working as an investment accountant for Investors Capital Trust plc, joined Baillie Gifford in 1986. Lindsey heads up the Baillie Gifford Investment Trust Accounting and Secretarial Department. She was a member of the AIC SORP review working party.
