Baillie Gifford Emerging Markets Leading Companies Fund

Key Facts

Aim To maximise the total return through investment primarily in a concentrated portfolio of the larger and more tradable companies, as measured by the value of their freely floating shares and value of shares traded in emerging markets worldwide and in any economic sectors of such markets. The inclusion of any particular market or geographic area, being an emerging market or area, is solely at the ACD’s discretion.
IMA Sector The sector for this fund is Global Emerging Markets, for funds which invest 80% or more of their assets directly or indirectly in emerging markets as defined by the World Bank, without geographical restriction. Indirect investment e.g. China shares listed in Hong Kong, should not exceed 50% of the portfolio.

Will graduated MA in History from the University of Glasgow in 1996.  He joined Baillie Gifford in 1999 and worked as an Investment Analyst in the UK and North American Equity Teams before joining the Emerging Markets Equity Team in 2001, where he is an Investment Manager. Will became a Partner in 2010.
