Baillie Gifford Investment Grade Bond Fund

Key Facts

Aim To maximise total return, while achieving a higher level of income than would be available from investment only in comparable UK Gilts, by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of investment grade fixed interest securities denominated in sterling. Derivatives may be used from time to time in keeping with the Fund's objective with the intention of either protecting or enhancing the return on the Fund. No more than 10% in value of the property of the Fund will be invested in units of other collective investment schemes.
IMA Sector The sector for this fund is £ Corporate Bond, for funds which invest at least 80% of their assets in Sterling denominated (or hedged back to Sterling), Triple BBB minus or above corporate bond securities (as measured by Standard & Poors or an equivalent external rating agency). This excludes convertibles, preference shares and permanent interest bearing shares (PIBs).

Stephen graduated BSc (Hons) in Management Science from the University of St Andrews in 1990 and an MA in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics in 1994. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2000 and is Head of the Credit Team. Stephen became a Partner in 2008.
