Baillie Gifford Managed Fund

Key Facts

Aim To achieve above average returns over the long term by investing worldwide in securities in any economic sector. The Fund will be diversified by holding different asset classes, by investing internationally, and by holding companies operating in a wide range of industries. The portfolio will also have holdings in some medium and smaller sized companies as well as the largest 'blue chips'. A portion of the Fund may be invested in derivatives, both for investment as well as hedging purposes.
IMA Sector The sector for this fund is Mixed Investment 40-85% Shares. Funds in this sector are required to have a range of different investments. However, there is scope for funds to have a high proportion in company shares (equities). The fund must have between 40% and 85% invested in company shares.

Gareth graduated MMath in Mathematics from Oxford University in 2002. He joined Baillie Gifford in the same year, working as an Investment Analyst in our Developed Asia Equity, UK Equity and Fixed Income Teams. He transferred to the Institutional Clients Department in 2005 to service a portfolio of UK clients.
