Entry Route
As a graduate you will join Baillie Gifford as a Trainee Investment Manager, based in our head office in Edinburgh. We believe all graduate trainees should make an effective contribution from day one. The initial focus is on building your investment knowledge and therefore graduates will be involved in the following:
Working alongside Investment Managers, including Partners, you will learn to:
- analyse company information,
- review stockbroker research,
- contribute to departmental investment strategy.
In addition to:
- meeting company executives
- travelling on UK and overseas business trips
- reporting on economic developments
- presenting internally to colleagues and externally to clients
Graduates will also spend a short secondment in our Institutional Clients Department within the first three years. This gives our graduate trainees exposure to clients, attending occasional client meetings and new business presentations.
