Institutional Clients Accounting Department
Comprising just over 70 staff, the Institutional Clients Accounting Department (ICAD) is uniquely placed due to its ongoing interaction with a number of different business areas. The key services the department provides to Baillie Gifford's institutional clients across the world are -
- The recording and verification of client transactions
- The review and reconciliation of client assets
- The reporting of client assets, investment performance and investment commentary
The recording and reconciliation of client accounts occurs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and will involve close liaison with core operations areas like Settlements, Cash Management and Corporate Actions internally, as well as with global custodians externally.
Monthly and quarterly client reporting will necessitate close liaison with areas such as the Institutional Clients Department, the Investment teams, Performance Measurement and Corporate Governance to ensure the provision of a timely, customised and flexible client reporting service.
