About the speakers

Bill is an investment specialist, currently dedicated to our Smaller Companies strategies. He works closely with the Global Discovery Team, attending portfolio meetings and the Global Discovery Product Group. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford in 2018, Bill studied for a full-time MBA, specialising in Finance, at the University of Edinburgh Business School. Previously he spent five years with Mastercard, as a client account manager for institutional clients. Bill graduated MA in History from the University of Edinburgh in 2012.

Global Discovery Fund
The Global Discovery Fund aims to outperform (after deduction of costs) the S&P Global Small Cap Index, as stated in sterling, by at least 2 per cent per annum over rolling five-year periods.
Worldwide Discovery Fund
The Worldwide Discovery Fund aims to produce attractive long-term returns, mainly through capital growth. The Fund will invest primarily in equities which are listed, traded or dealt in on Regulated Markets worldwide and which will typically be stocks of smaller or younger companies that the Investment Manager considers to have strong future growth prospects.
