Graduate programmes

We have investment and technology programmes on offer. These are open to curious and engaged individuals who are looking to develop new skills and embark on an exciting and rewarding career.

Recruitment for 2024 programmes has now closed. We will open in autumn 2024, for applications for 2025.

What's the right option for me?

Our programmes are open for applications from 5 September 2023.

All our programmes start in September 2024. They are permanent opportunities based in our head office in Edinburgh. Therefore, if you accept a role at Baillie Gifford, we will be committed to your long-term career development throughout the programme and beyond.

Investment research

Have you got an inquiring spirit and curious mind? Interested in in-depth analysis? Then Investment Research may be for you. We value a variety of perspectives, and our teams are made up of individuals from various backgrounds.

Technology solutions

We're looking for individuals who can take business challenges and transform them with technical solutions. If you are a problem-solver that wants to work with cutting-edge technologies, this programme could be for you.

Curious, patient, brave

We pride ourselves on three things:

  • Curiosity - We’re looking for people who want to learn – not just during the programme but throughout their career.
  • Patience - When trainees join us, we don’t expect them to be the finished article. We offer continual guidance and support.
  • Bravery - Our ideal candidates are brave people who aren’t afraid to form opinions, debate, share ideas and learn. We’re not afraid to take a path that makes us different.

Meet our people

At Baillie Gifford, our people are our greatest strength. Attracting talent is vital to our success, so we strive to create opportunities for all. We take diversity and inclusion seriously and encourage staff to join initiatives which support these values. As employees from across the business can attest, we pride ourselves on being a great place to work. Read about their experiences below.
