Meet the TeamMichael Saliba
Michael Saliba joined Baillie Gifford as a Director of Marketing in 2015. He is based in New York and is responsible for the intermediaries business in the US. Michael holds FINRA series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 66 licenses. He has over 27 years’ experience in the financial industry, most recently serving as Managing Director, Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock. Michael graduated BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991.Joseph Stellato
Joseph Stellato is a Director of Marketing for intermediary clients in the United States. In this role, he is responsible for driving the relationship between Baillie Gifford and private banks, registered investment advisors (RIA’s), trust banks & family offices across the country. Before joining the firm, Joseph was responsible for similar client partnerships at OppenheimerFunds and prior to that, Neuberger Berman. He began his career on the Equity Finance trading desk of Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital. Joseph graduated BS in Finance and BA in psychology, both from SUNY Binghamton University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.Liam Hoare
Liam Hoare joined Baillie Gifford in 2018 and focuses on the firm's relationship in the Western United States. Before joining the firm he was responsible for similar relationships for Alcentra, an alternative global credit manager, across the U.S. and Asia. He began his career working in a client service role at MFS Investment Management. Liam has a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Merrimack College.Martina Hodges
Martina Hodges joined Baillie Gifford in 2004 and is a Relationship Manager for intermediary clients in the United States. Martina is responsible for building partnerships with intermediary firms such as Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), private banks, trust banks and family offices across the United States. She holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Martina graduated MA (Hons) in Political Economics in 2001 and MSc in Finance & Investment Management in 2002, both from the University of Aberdeen.Kristen Ross
Kristen Ross is a Relationship Manager for intermediary clients in the United States. In this role, she is responsible for driving the relationship between Baillie Gifford and private banks, registered investment advisors (RIAs), trust banks & family offices across the country. Before joining the firm, Kristen was responsible for similar client partnerships at OppenheimerFunds. She began her career working as an advisor for a Boston based RIA. Kristen graduated BS in Finance from The University of Rhode Island and holds her CAIA and QPFC designations.
