Overview

Fund objective

The UK Equity Alpha Fund aims to outperform (after deduction of costs) the FTSE All-Share Index, over rolling five-year periods.

The manager believes this is an appropriate benchmark given the investment policy of the Fund and the approach taken by the manager when investing. In addition, the manager believes an appropriate performance comparison for this Fund is the Investment Association UK All Companies Sector.

There is no guarantee that this objective will be achieved over any time period and actual investment returns may differ from this objective, particularly over shorter time periods.

Investment proposition

The Fund adopts a long-term, low turnover investment approach and aims to hold between 30-50 high quality, growth companies which are principally listed in the UK and are capable of growing their earnings faster than the market average. It is a concentrated portfolio of our best ideas, which is highly differentiated from the benchmark, the FTSE All-Share Index.
