The Global Discovery Fund aims to outperform (after deduction of costs) the S&P Global Small Cap Index, as stated in sterling, by at least 2 per cent per annum over rolling five-year periods.

The Worldwide Discovery Fund aims to produce attractive long-term returns, mainly through capital growth. The Fund will invest primarily in equities which are listed, traded or dealt in on Regulated Markets worldwide and which will typically be stocks of smaller or younger companies that the Investment Manager considers to have strong future growth prospects.

The Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc aims for capital growth from a global portfolio of initially immature entrepreneurial companies, typically with a market capitalisation of less than $5bn at time of initial investment, which are believed to offer long-term growth potential.
