Applications for 2025 programme are now closed.

Language skills are not essential, but we are always keen to hear from applicants who are fluent in second languages.

At the end of the programme, you’ll have earned a permanent Client Manager role in one of the Client Service teams subject to completion of the requirements on the training programme.

Starting as a trainee, you’ll become a Client Manager with the opportunity to progress into a Director role over time. If you have the ambition and talent, you could even become a partner in the firm. Baillie Gifford is wholly owned by 58 partners who work in the firm on a daily basis.

We typically recruit three to six people to the programme each year.

Successful candidates will start on £55,000 per annum with a bonus and salary review annually.

All successful candidates will join in September 2024.

If you are successful, first-stage interviews will be conducted over Zoom in April. This will be followed by the second stage, which will be in our office in Edinburgh in May.
