Abbie-Louise joined the International Positive Change Fund in 2023. She began her graduate career with Baillie Gifford but spent the last five years in London working for an SDG Engagement fund and latterly, a family office. She is very interested in the potential for innovation to unlock societal change, particularly when combined with great management and thoughtful engagement. Her previous role involved investment with philanthropic research and highlighted how long-term financing for purpose-driven organisations can unlock meaningful societal benefit. Abbie-Louise studied Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
Leo joined Baillie Gifford in 2021. He hosts the firm’s Short Briefings on Long Term Thinking podcast and is also one of our editors. Previously, he was the BBC’s technology desk editor, leading the online team and working on a series of Panorama documentaries. Additionally, he has worked on the broadcaster’s World Business Report and Newsnight Scotland programmes.
