We will be open and honest with you at every stage of the process, whilst giving you the opportunity to ask questions, providing a clear idea of what it's like to work at Baillie Gifford.

Our general application resources should help guide you through the process in more detail.

Stage 1

To get started, we ask you to:

  • complete a short online application form including questions about why you’d like to join us and what you think you could bring to the role
  • attach your CV

Stage 2

If selected, you will be invited to complete an online test within 3 days and if successful an initial interview with professionals from our Information Systems department. We will run through your CV with you and talk about the academic and professional choices that you have made so far, together with some competency-based questions.

Stage 3

The final stage is more in-depth. You will attend an assessment centre with other applicants, where we will assess your abilities in more detail through a second interview and some practical exercises. You'll have the chance to ask questions and meet other IT professionals, including our trainees who are currently on the programme.
